How Do I Get My HDTV to work with my digital cable box from Sudden link?
my tv has HDTV
(threads) to hook up a cable right next to TV input (threads) if i hook up the digital box to the HDTV input it says serching for channels and never finds them….so how do i get it to work since i spent so much money on this HDTV?!?!?
are you on the right input. did you set up your box correctly? did you make sure that sudden link can be usd in your area?
i copied and pasted the explanation below.
Set up basic cable TV in only 14 minutes1. Connect the RF (coaxial) cable from the wall to the CABLE IN port on the set-topbox.1 minute2. Connect the video cable from the set-top to the TVFor a standard TV, connect the video cable (yellow plug) from the set-top VIDEO OUTport to the TV VIDEO IN port.For an HDTV, connect the Y, Pb, Pr cable (green, blue, and red plugs) from the Y, PB, Prports on the set-top box to the Y, Pb, PR ports on the HDTV set.3 minutes3. Connect the audio cable from the set-top to the TV.Connect the audio cable (red and white plugs) from the AUDIO L and R OUT ports onthe set-top to the AUDIO L and R IN ports on the TV.2 minutes4. Plug in the power cords of the set-top and TV to the wall outlet.1 minuteOptionalInstall other devices, such as a DVD player or audio amplifier according to themanufacturer’s instructions.5. Install the batteries in the remote control.1 minute6. Program the remote control.Turn on the TV and set-top from their front panels. Can you tune the TV to channel 3 or4? Can you change channels with the remote? If yes, skip to step 7 below. If no, thenproceed with step 2 below.Locate the Manufacturer’s Code for your type of TV and brand name. Use the first four-digit code listed for your TV. Write down this 4-digit code and have it ready.On the remote control, press the mode key labeled TV; it will blink once.Press and hold the SETUP button on the remote control until the TV mode key blinkstwice, then release SETUP.Enter the 4-digit code into the remote control. If performed correctly, the TV mode keywill blink twice.Tune your TV set to channel 3 or 4.NOTE: If the TV key emits a long blink, the entry is invalid. Repeat steps 2 and 3 and tryentering the same code again. Aim the remote control at the TV and press PWR once.The TV should turn off. If it does not, repeat steps 2 and 3, trying each code for yourbrand until you find one that works. If it still does not respond, try searching for the code(see Searching For Your Code).5 minutes7. Open the program guide or record a program.Press the GUIDE button on the remote control to view the channel listing.Press the SETTINGS button, navigate to the Record this program option and pressSELECT.1 minuteTotal 14 minutes
