Why are my older Windows Media Player files jittery all of a sudden, and how do I fix it?
One day when I was watching some of my files on Windows Media Player, I noticed all of a sudden they were very jittery. Just out of the blue they started becoming jittery. Now newer files that I downloaded weren’t jittery, but the older files were. I am assuming there is something wrong with my player. How do I fix this?
One possibility is that YoU may have a better system, different video hardware than You did when You gt them.
It’s rettyobvious, but most people miss the fact that hardware imoproves, and t better it gets, the more it has to translate smaller screensized files into larger screens, more sound channels, and do more conversions to “up-convert” files created when the new quality wasn’t supported.
I’d suggest trying to actually rsize Yourdesktop before trying to play one ofthe older files, or setting it to a non fullscreen setting, and seeing if that helps with them.
If that doesn’t do it, they may have just been made with an outdated codec, or they’re not designed to use the full capabilities of the video card and are just using stripped down basic display mode.
